No. 25 Penn State returned to Rec Hall hoping to repeat last year’s victory over Nebraska, but the night belonged entirely to the nation’s No. 1 team. The undefeated Cornhuskers swept the Nittany Lions 3–0, winning 25–14, 25–11 and 25–14, and extended their remarkable run to 29 straight victories.
Nebraska opened the match with intensity on both sides of the net, with setter Bergen Reilly anchoring long rallies and stabilizing the offense. Although early service errors kept the first set briefly close, the momentum quickly shifted, and Penn State was unable to match the pace or precision of the Big Ten champions.
With this result, Nebraska completes a season sweep over the reigning national champions — having also dominated the earlier matchup on the road — and now turns its attention to the regular-season finale against Ohio State on Saturday night.
