K: Sonia, what led you to your creative path?
S: it was a "coincidence" in the form of health complications that helped me to return to the creative path, it started about six years after graduating from school and I am very grateful for these circumstances, I did not expect that it would be a dream come true for me, to paint and mainly to exhibit at my individual and group exhibitions.
K: Was it just about painting?
S: No, during those six years I drew, painted, embroidered, knitted and crocheted, AND concentrated on creating a beautiful living garden full of plants.
K: You mentioned that you started creating six years after school? Where did you study and what was your major?
S: At the Palacký University in Olomouc - major - Fine Arts with a focus on education, I had studios: drawing, painting, graphics, photography, intermedia, modeling - sculpture, metal - object - jewelry, ceramics, textiles.
K: Which paintings were your first, on which subject?
S: I painted before, but if we talk about the paintings that I started exhibiting, the first ones were abstractions.
K: And what can you tell me about the abstract paintings you paint?
S: It's pure energy on canvas, based on emotions, long planning until the moment is right to paint out of these feelings and put them on canvas.
Each picture is different and each one aims to evoke a good feeling and joy in a person.
K: In the gallery I also see paintings with the theme of nature, which were the first?
S: I started a series of large paintings of insects and trees, and the first series was "On the bees, it depends"
K: Sonia, what are your plans for the future?
S: Well, there is still a lot of work ahead of me, to improve, deepen my technique and paint. There are other exhibitions ahead of me to which I cordially invite everyone. You can check all the exhibits with dates on my website.
