A few questions to Krzysztof Asztemborski
To be honest, I have been taking photos for 13 years, but in the early years of photography, 1987-1991, my adventure with natural photography and post-production began. it was black and white photography, and the most intense period of photography also had the most beautiful memories.
I have been interested in photography since I was a child; what I saw and what excited me, I wanted to capture in time and thus have a memory. Now, I want to leave a memory, to help photography to make you happy and remind you of beautiful experiences with taking pictures.
How does photography influence your life?
Photography plays a significant role in my life; it has become a part of me and revealed the truth about the people who would be the first to be with me and help me. Photography also showed me that the most important thing is respect, humility, nobility, and honor. Photography gives me the meaning of life and a reason to be happy, it inspires me every day, it broadens my horizons. Types for photographers… it’s difficult; each of us is different, and we photograph different things. guide your conscience.
What do you find most enjoyable in taking photographs?
What I like most about taking photos is arranging an outdoor meeting with the model and the mutual interaction, improvisation on stage, what the photo looks like, and the model’s joy while taking photos. I will do something special, and it will be appreciated. most importantly, I will meet a new person with the hope that we will stay in touch and have another good photo session.
How do you work with models or other individuals during photo shoots?
The model is always my first priority, I don’t want her to feel embarrassed, I ensure her safety and privacy, she is under my care and I do my best to make her feel comfortable. I do not pressure the model to do a session in inappropriate conditions, such as cold or rain. I want her to rest during the session. If it is a beginner model, I will help with theoretical matters, standing, holding the body, etc. I have a cooperation agreement for every model who works with me.
Do you have any specific ethical principles that guide your work as a photographer?
Of course, first of all, I am friendly, communicative, and helpful towards each model; I stick to the etiquette and will fulfill every wish of the model if I can do so; I am discreet, I do not use inappropriate words, I will not touch the model without permission when it comes to corrections, e.g., clothes, hair.
What are your plans for this year in photography?
I’m preparing for Christmas photography in Vienna with my excellent model, Diana, wearing dresses from the dressmaker Ludek Hanak. In January, I have a few photos in the following areas: sensual, artistic nude, and fashion. I will take photos with models from two different countries.
What are your favorite types of photography and why?
I photograph women’s portraits, artistic nudes, glamour, boudoir, street portraits, fashion, live portraits, etc. it’s about beauty and emotion; I don’t take photos… I create a work of art with soul.
What do you think about Camerapixo magazine?
The Camerapixopress magazine is a great inspiration for me and a gateway to the world of shows. It opens my horizons and shows how important it is to have someone behind me who believes in and supports me. In the three years that I have been a part of the magazine, I have risen to a high level, thanks to the support of the magazine. Today it can be said that I am a photographer who has built prestige and is recognized.
