Photographers often ask what happens to their images after submission, whether they keep copyright ownership, how published work may be used, which submission methods are available, and whether they can edit titles, descriptions, or other information after uploading their photographs.
In most cases, photographers retain copyright ownership of their work while granting Camerapixo Press the rights necessary to review, publish, archive, and promote the content within its publications and related editorial activities. Materials may be submitted through the Camerapixo Press online submission system, by email, or through approved file-sharing services, depending on the type and size of the project.
This FAQ provides clear answers to the most common questions about submission methods, file management, publication decisions, copyright ownership, editorial usage, contributor responsibilities, and links to the official policies for additional details.
Yes. If a photographer has been invited by the editorial team to participate in a specific issue, interview, portfolio feature, or themed publication, there is no fee for publication. This applies to standard editorial content prepared and published by Camerapixo Press. Some additional services, products, advertising opportunities, promotional campaigns, or special presentation options may be offered separately and may involve additional fees if clearly presented as a separate service.
No. Participation in a Camerapixo Press editorial interview is not a paid assignment. Photographers, artists, and creators are invited to share their work, experience, personal story, creative journey, or selected projects as part of the publication.
In most cases, no. Publication of submitted materials is governed by the Camerapixo Press Terms & Conditions and Photo Submission Policy. These documents outline the rights and responsibilities of both contributors and the editorial team. For special projects, institutional collaborations, organizations, or situations where additional documentation is required, a separate contributor agreement may be provided upon request.
Yes. Submitting photographs to Camerapixo Press does not transfer copyright ownership. The photographer remains the copyright holder and owner of their work.
Yes. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Camerapixo Press does not require exclusive rights to submitted photographs. Photographers may continue to use their images in portfolios, websites, social media, exhibitions, and other publications.
Yes. By submitting materials to Camerapixo Press, you grant the editorial team permission to review, prepare, and potentially publish your work in accordance with the Camerapixo Press Terms & Conditions, Photo Submission Policy, and the guidelines of the specific project or publication.
Submitted photographs are primarily used in the magazine, publication, or project to which the photographer was invited. Materials may also be used to promote a specific issue through banners, promotional graphics, social media posts, announcements, and other marketing materials encouraging readers to explore the publication.
Photographs may also be used to promote the photographer, particularly when a publication includes an interview, a photographer profile, an award, a portfolio feature, or a presentation of their creative work. In such cases, images help introduce the photographer, showcase their style, and support the published story.
Camerapixo Press publications are primarily produced as free digital magazines available as online flipbooks. Selected editions may also be made available as downloadable PDF publications. All content usage is governed by the applicable policies, publication guidelines, and contributor terms.
Yes. The editorial team makes every effort to properly credit photographers and contributors whenever their work is published. Published photographs are typically accompanied by the photographer’s name or another agreed-upon credit format.
No. Camerapixo Press does not use contributor-submitted materials to train artificial intelligence models.
We offer three ways to submit materials for publication.
1. Through the Camerapixo Press Photo Submission System (Recommended)
After logging into your account, you can upload photographs directly through our online submission system.
Until publication, you maintain full control over your submitted materials and may:
This is the most flexible submission method and is recommended for photographers who regularly contribute to Camerapixo Press publications.
2. Through Google Drive, Dropbox, or Other File Sharing Services
You may prepare a complete package of materials and share it with the editorial team using Google Drive, Dropbox, or another file-sharing service.
This option allows you to send a finished collection of photographs and supporting materials in a single package.
Please note that materials submitted outside the Camerapixo Press submission system cannot be edited directly through your account. If updates are required, revised files must be provided to the editorial team.
3. By Email
Smaller photo collections and interview materials may also be submitted as email attachments.
This method works particularly well for:
For larger projects and extensive photo collections, we recommend using either the Camerapixo Press submission system or a file-sharing service such as Google Drive or Dropbox.
When photographs are submitted through the Camerapixo Press submission system, they are stored on our servers and reviewed by the editorial team. If the submitted materials meet our technical and editorial requirements, they are placed in the publication queue for one of our upcoming magazines, interviews, portfolio presentations, or editorial projects.
Until publication, photographs submitted through the Upload & Publish system remain available within the contributor’s account dashboard, allowing photographers to manage their submissions using the tools available within the platform.
Once a publication has been released, the associated files may be removed from the submission system to make room for future submissions and ongoing editorial projects. Please note that submission does not automatically guarantee publication. All materials are reviewed individually and selected according to editorial requirements, publication themes, available space, and overall suitability for a specific project.
Yes, but only if your photographs were submitted through the Camerapixo Press Upload & Publish system.
When photographs are uploaded directly through your account, the files remain stored on our servers until publication. This allows contributors to update selected information associated with their submissions, including:
This option is not available for materials submitted by email, Google Drive, Dropbox, or other external file-sharing services. In those cases, the submitted materials are treated as completed packages and cannot be modified through the online platform.
If changes are required, updated files or revised information must be provided directly to the editorial team. Once the publication process has been finalized, further modifications may no longer be possible.
Materials that do not meet the technical, editorial, or submission requirements may not be considered for publication.
Examples may include:
Depending on the submission method used, non-compliant materials may be removed from the submission system or excluded from publication consideration. Contributors are encouraged to review all submission requirements carefully before uploading materials to ensure a smooth editorial and publication process.
No. Submitting photographs, articles, interviews, or other materials does not automatically guarantee publication. Final publication decisions are based on editorial requirements, content quality, available space, publication goals, and overall suitability for a specific issue.
However, if a photographer has been directly invited by the editorial team to participate in a specific publication, the publication is generally planned as part of that project. The editorial team still reserves the right to select specific images, determine layout, and make final editorial decisions regarding presentation.
Usually not. The editorial team does not typically provide a separate list of selected photographs prior to publication. Depending on the quality of the submitted material, publication requirements, available space, and editorial decisions, all submitted photographs or only selected images may be used.
Not all submissions can be published. Editorial decisions depend on the publication’s goals, the number of submissions received, content quality, available space, and editorial planning. A decision not to publish certain photographs does not necessarily reflect negatively on their quality or value.
Yes. Minor edits may be made to improve grammar, spelling, formatting, readability, consistency, and overall publication quality. Such edits are intended to preserve the original meaning and intent of the contributor’s content.
All submitted photographs should meet the basic technical requirements needed for editorial review and publication preparation.
For photography magazine submissions, we recommend the following:
Recommended file naming format:

Files that do not meet the required technical, formatting, or editorial standards may not be accepted for publication.
No. For editorial and aesthetic reasons, we generally do not recommend placing watermarks, logos, or signatures directly on photographs. Each published image is credited with the photographer’s name, making additional visual branding unnecessary in most cases.
However, if displaying a watermark, logo, or signature is particularly important to you, you may submit photographs that already include them. The editorial team may consider such images for publication, provided they do not negatively affect the visual quality, readability, or layout of the publication.
Yes, provided that you have the legal right to publish the images and that doing so does not violate the rights of third parties. Contributors are responsible for ensuring that submitted materials comply with copyright laws, accreditation requirements, event regulations, privacy rights, and any other applicable legal restrictions.
Yes. If a project involves multiple creators or rights holders, you should ensure that all relevant parties have agreed to the submission and publication of the material.
No. Submitted materials are used for editorial, publication, archival, and promotional purposes related to Camerapixo Press and the specific publication in which the work appears.
Each request is reviewed individually. Please note that once materials have been published, they may already exist in digital magazines, downloadable PDF editions, publication archives, promotional materials, and previously distributed content. As a result, complete removal of all copies may not always be possible.
If the material has not yet been published, the editorial team may consider requests to withdraw it before publication is finalized.
